Commercial Lease Agreements

Florida law provides little guidance with respect to Commercial Lease Agreements. Unlike residential lease agreements, with some exceptions, businesses are mostly free to create commercial tenancies on their “own terms.” For example, commercial landlords can shift the burden of paying for major repairs to the tenants. Further, the law provides no statutory damages if the Landlord commits certain acts that the residential statutes prohibit.
